Manchester United are reportedly planning a huge pay rise for Marcus Rashford as they have begun contract extension talks with the English striker.

It is understood that Rashford may be getting as much as double of his present wages if the contract talks go smoothly as anticipated.

United are keen to extend Rashford's current deal - which runs to 2020 with the option of a further year.

Rashford has made over 150 appearances for the club since making his debut in 2016 and has established himself as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first-choice number nine in recent weeks.

And his form this season has persuaded United to offer him a significant increase in wages, according to the Telegraph.

They report that Rashford's wages could be more than doubled to over £150,000-per-week plus bonuses as United attempt to prevent reported interest from Real Madrid becoming an issue.

Only recently Rashford made his 100th Premier League appearance for United and he marked that milestone with a goal that helped the Red Devils get all three points away at the King Power Stadium.
