Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has laughed off reports he could be sacked soon.

It was a turbulent start to the new season for United who suffered two consecutive defeats to Tottenham and Brighton.

They are now seated 10th on the English Premier League table with six points from four matches as teams go into the first international break of the season.

But Mourinho insisted he is not in danger, adding, jokingly, that it cost Manchester United so much to sack him.

"They say I'm in danger, but I don't think so," Mourinho told Gazzetta dello Sport and La Repubblica.

"If they sent me away, do you have any idea how much money they would have to give me?"

After the break, United will face an unbeaten Watford side at Vicarage road, before their Champions League campaign gets underway against Swiss side BSC Young Boys.
