Man On Trial For Cutting Neighbour's Nose
It all started as a civil argument between two men that share 'Uche' as their first names; then it got ugly, very ugly.
Uche Odinaka disagreed with his neighbour and it degenerated into a scuffle.
By the time dust had settled, his neighbour's nose was missing.
Uche allegedly 'redesigned' the man's face by using a cutlass to chop off his nose.
The 41-year-old was arraigned before an Asaba Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
The prosecutor, Ekugbe Biokoro, told the court that the accused committed the offence on the May 7, 2017 at No 5 Obi street, Asaba.
She said Odinaka assaulted his neighbour, Uche Ukwuraivwe after they had both accused each other of theft and mischief.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of 120,000 Naira and a surety in like sum.
The Magistrate, Okonkwo Akanume, adjourned the case till May 30, for hearing.
