Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has apologized for a red card he got during a 1-1 draw against Everton in an English Premier League game on Monday.

The tie was Walker’s home debut for City after joining from Tottenham.

He was shown two yellow cards before half time, with the first coming in the 42nd minute for a foul on Leighton Baine and the second two minutes later following a collision with Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

“Gutted with last night. I apologise to the fans and my teammates. They did amazingly well to get back into the game and get a point #MCFC.”

Wayne Rooney put Everton ahead in the first half before Raheem Sterling's equaliser eight minutes from time.
