Do not just "dance away your sorrow" when you hear good music. Some of these lyrics can save you some trouble if you listen.
Kiss Daniel sang "Peperipe peperipepe no go dey do pass yourself..." and if only Taofeek Ojedeyi heeded this advice.
Easter has come and gone, but the 25-year old is now wishing Easter never came at all.
He wanted to celebrate in grand style either by hook or crook, and he allowed his greed to get the better of him by stealing seven live fowls belonging to his neighbour.
The incident happened at Kuta Street in Egan area of Igando in the outskirts of Lagos where he resided.
Apart from stealing seven live fowls, the suspect also stole two generators, a shirt and a plastic bucket belonging to one Adebayo Afolabi who was his close neighbour.
According to the residents, few days before the Easter celebrations, Ojedeyi was heard complaining that he was broke and had no money to celebrate the season.
He devised a plan to steal from his neighbours on the 30th March, 2018, around 2am
He, however ran out of luck as he was apprehended by his neighbours while trying to escape and handed over to the police at Igando Division.
He confessed before the police, the items he stole were recovered from him as exhibits and kept at the police station.
Ojedeyi was later charged before Ejigbo Magistrates court for stealing.
He pleaded guilty and asked the court for leniency. But, does he deserve a second chance?
