New signings Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku were both in action late Saturday night for Manchester United as the Red Devils strolled to a 5-2 win over LA Galaxy in their first preseason game.

Lukaku and Lindelof were second half substitutes in the game played at the Stubhub Center but neither was able to get a goal for the Red Devils in their maiden outing.

That nonetheless the new Devils gave a good account of themselves as they gave a glimpse of what to expect from them going forward.

Marcus Rashford scored an early first-half brace to set the Red Devils on their way before Marouane Fellaini added a third to give Jose Mourinho's side complete control of the match by halftime.

A new XI took to the field for the second half and goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Anthony Martial underlined United's dominance before a late brace from Giovani dos Santos made the score look more respectable for the hosts.

Having started out on a blistering note, United will now turn their attention to Monday's friendly with Real Salt Lake before taking on Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona in the International Champions Cup.
