President Muhammadu Buhari will on Friday be leaving Nigeria for London to observe his annual vacation.

This makes it the ninth time President Buhari will be enjoying a vacation in Queensland since he assumed power in 2015.

A letter has already been transmitted to the National Assembly to make all of this official and constitutional.

While away, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will step in as Acting President.

Buhari is expected back in Nigeria on the weekend of August 11-13, 2018.

Check out some things we expect Baba to do while on vacation:

1. Medical treatment

There are speculations that the President would go for medical checkup during his vacation.

The last time he did that was in April 2018.

The President will want to monitor his health and get advice from his doctors as he prepares for the rigour of the electioneering campaign for his  re-election bid in 2019.

While resting, he will also be watching his favourite Nigerian TV channel, Channels TV.

This will keep him abreast of all the happenings in the country while he is away. The President had once tweeted about how he enjoys watching the Nigerian news channel.

"Wherever I am, I keep up with news from home. Channels TV is one of my favorites. I'm proud of what the Nigerian media are achieving," the President once tweeted in 2017 while in London on medical vacation.

3. Buhari will be meeting with top politicians

Although, he has said he was not bothered about the ongoing defections in his party, President Buhari is likely to play host to some influential personalities within his party and other political organisations.

Knowing fully well that 2019 is just a few days away, President Buhari will be moving to close ranks in the political circles to help him secure a second term.

The President will be also be meeting with his inner caucus as well as political strategists to plan ahead of the 2019 elections which should commence in a few weeks’ time according to the time table released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

As part of preparations to make sure all goes well, Buhari was in his campaign office on Wednesday to see the facilities on ground.

He also held a meeting with APC governors and lawmakers to secure their commitment before his London trip.
