Liverpool Sends Nigerian Striker On Loan To Belgian Club
Nigerian striker, Taiwo Awoniyi who recently signed another long-term deal with Liverpool has been shipped out again on loan by the Reds.
The latest destination for Awoniyi is Belgian outfit, KAA Gent.
The 20-year old striker is no stranger in Belgium, having also played last season at Excelsior Mouscron on loan and did very well there.
In 31 matches, he scored 10 goals and gave 7 assists.
Awoniyi obviously caught the attention of his new employers with his previous performance against them; he gave the assist for the equalizer of Mouscron when they beat Gent 3-2 defeat, and he scored in the 1-1 draw at the Ghelamco Arena last season
Awoniyi has represented Nigeria several times at the youth levels and many tip him to soon break into the Super Eagles team.
He was in the Nigeria U17 2013 World Cup winning side, he has also played for the U20 and U23; scoring 11 goals in 23 games.
