A few months ago, afro-soul singer, Aramide dropped the first single off her upcoming sophomore album titled, "Magic" —Now, she has dropped an interesting song.

In most likely, a bid to whet the musical appetite of her fans before releasing a follow-up to her earlier song, she’s dropped a refix of 2Baba’s "Amaka".

She calls her own ‘Emeka’

On the original SperoachBeatz-produced track, 2Baba and DMW’s Peruzzi sing about waiting for ‘Amaka,’ a woman who is not dependable or trustworthy.

As for "Emeka", Aramide’s Big Foot-produced refix, the singer switches from the original Afropop sound to her comfort zone- Afro-soul.

On ‘Emeka’ she sings about finally letting go of a man who constantly cheats and lies to her.

Aramide says her new single will be dropping on Thursday, August 16 and considering how wonderful she sounds on “Amaka" refix, music fans would be expecting more great songs from the singer.
