When we (ordinary Nigerians) are ill, we go to public health centres to receive treatment.

Most times we pay exorbitant fees in exchange for poor services.

But it seems our leaders search for their international passports and book flights while calling their person physicians across the Atlantic.

Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi State is to travel to Saudi Arabia to check his health.

The governor will be away from the state for 17 days.

Secretary to the State Government, Bello Ilelah, who disclosed this on Tuesday said while the  governor is away, his deputy, Malam Nuhu Gidado, would act as the state’s Chief Executive.

“His Excellency, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar Esq, Governor of Bauchi, will undertake a medical trip to Saudi Arabia, from Tuesday, 13th June, 2017, to Friday, 30th June, 2017.

During his absence, His Excellency, Nuhu Gidado , Deputy Governor , will act as the Governor,” said Ilelah.

Mohammed’s trip to Saudi comes almost 40 days after President Muhammadu Buhari left the country for United Kindgom for medical treatment.

Buhari departed the country on May 7 to London to conduct tests for a strange ailment.
