Robert Lewandowski scored two quick goals to help Bayern Munich seal a 2-0 victory over hosts Werder Bremen.

Bremen were able to hold their star-studded opponent for 72 minutes before things finally changed in the German Bundesliga tie on Saturday.

Lewandowski confidently flicked Kingsley Coman's low cross into the net with his heel to put his side ahead.

The Poland striker completed his brace when he shot through the legs of defender Robert Bauer and Bremen goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka in the 75th minute to seal victory.

Bayern have won their two matches played so far this season and are top of the league table.

Bremen's last win over Bayern was in 2006.
