Nigeria international, Wilfred Ndidi is very excited to win the Leicester Young Player Award for the second successive season.

Ndidi was voted ahead of England U-21 internationals Ben Chilwell and Demarai Gray for the Young Player Award.

Speaking on the club’s official website, the 21-year-old praised the club’s fans for their support and belief in the team.

“I feel very great, it’s a proud moment for me and I’m very proud about it.

“The fans have been fantastic. I will like to say thank you to them for all their support for the team,” he told LCFC TV.

Describing the 2017/2018 season, the former Genk of Belgium player said: “There has been a lot of ups and down but the main thing is that we are

safe. We’re working towards the remaining games but the season has been okay. We have also learnt many things.”

When asked about his target for next season, he said: “We’ll leave that for next season and see what comes out of it.”
