Wilfred Ndidi’s teammate at Leicester City Tom Lawrence has exited the club.

The Welsh winger has joined Championship side Derby County for an unannounced fee.

The 23-year-old, who spent most of his three-year stint with Leicester City on loan, is reported by local media to have been paid an initial £5 million by Derby County.

Lawrence made just four appearances for Leicester and spent time on loan at Rotherham United, Blackburn Rovers, Cardiff City and Ipswich Town.

In the meantime, Manager Williams Shakespeare, who recently signed another Nigerian – Kelechi Iheanacho to Leicester City, is hopeful the former Manchester City striker will score goals for his new side.

Ndidi has been a key player in Shakespeare’s setup since joining the side in January. He has made 17 English Premier League appearances for Leicester, scoring two goals.
