A lawmaker in the Kaduna State House of Assembly is demanding that the killers of the Agom Adara, Maiwada Galadima, should be fished out.

Mr Labari Tella (PDP-Jema’a) made the demand on Monday three days after Mr Galadima was murdered by his abductors.

Mr Galadima had stayed one week with his abductors before he was murdered on October 26. He was abducted with his wife who was released.

The lawmaker told the News Agency of Nigeria that late Agom Adara was an elder-statesman per excellence, highlighting that the nation had lost one of its illustrious sons.

He commiserated with the family of the deceased, Adara community, Southern Kaduna and the entire State.

“The late Agom Adara would be remembered for his accommodating spirit, equity and fairness and most importantly fear of God.

“One cannot help but comment on his uncommon intelligence and objectivity on especially matters that promotes peaceful coexistence,” he said.

The Legislator said although the manner with which the Paramount ruler died was painful, the bereaved community should take solace in God, believing the truth of an everlasting life hereafter.

Mr Tella wants authorities concerned to rise to its responsibility towards the protection of lives and property.
