Lawmaker Suspended For Demanding Fayose's Resignation
He demanded the resignation of Governor Ayodele Fayose for allegedly usurping the power of the Speaker, Kolawole Oluwawole.
He also asked the Speaker to resign having allegedly surrendered his authority to the governor.
Aribisogan said he made these demands in his capacity as the Minority Leader, having defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress in the 26-member assembly.
However, a few hours after making the demand, the Ekiti State House of Assembly suspended Aribisogan indefinitely from the assembly.
He had earlier been suspended for 180 legislative days by the assembly for alleged anti-party activities.
The lawmakers at the plenary also resolved to bar him within one kilometre radius of the Ekiti State House of Assembly Complex till further notice.
