Landlord’s Son Breaks Into Tenant’s Apartment, Steals Valuables
Taiwo lives with his family at Clement Ekhator Street, Coker Estate, Orisumbare road, Shasha, in Lagos State.
He was at work when his phone rang, it was his wife who called to inform him that their apartment has been burgled with laptops, jewelries and cash stolen.
Taiwo could not believe what he just heard as he wondered how this could happen despite the security put in place by the estate management.
He rushed back from work to find out that it was only his apartment that was burgled, and the culprit was the son of his landlord.
The cheering news for Taiwo was that the thief, Ifeanyi, was apprehended by the security personnel attached to the estate.
The chairman of the Landlords’ Association in the estate, Harry Iwuala, who made the disclosure said the Ifeanyi was arrested as he was about leaving the premises with the items.
“The security men arrested him as he was making away with the items. They became suspicious because of the suspect’s antecedents.
“This is not the first time the boy will be involved in a burglary incident in the estate.
“He was reported to have broken into another compound to steal, was arrested and later released last year.
“The culprit has been handed to over to the police and will be charged to court soon”, he said.
