LASU Students’ Union President, Kappo Samuel, gave his colleagues something to cheer on Thursday.

His office has secured a collaboration with the management of LAMATA to ease the burden of transportation being faced by students.

According to him, LAMATA was running shuttle operation in the campus early this year, but stopped due to disagreement on fare charges.

“We have, however, reconciled our differences and reached a compromise with LAMATA on how much the students should be paying,” the students leader said.

Samuel said it has been agreed that the shuttle would charge N100 per student from the campus to Iyana-Ipaja, N50 to Igando and N70 to Isheri.

According to Samuel, the students’ comfort and academic development are paramount to the union’s leadership.

The union thanked the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun, for ensuring the success of the shuttle buses.
