The police have arrested a 52-year-old trader, Emeka Nwobochi, for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old boy.

The victim was brought to Lagos from Abia State by Nwobohchi, who promised to send him to school.

Nwobochi allegedly committed the offence on June 29 at Maza Maza Park in Lagos. He was brought before the Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, July 18th, but his plea was not taken.

The prosecutor, ASP Ezekiel Ayorinde, said, “The accused brought the boy from the village under the pretext of sending him to school. The boy’s father is dead and his mother, who remarried, has abandoned him.

“Nwobochi turned the boy into a sex machine in Lagos and when he could no longer bear the pains, he told someone who reported the case to the police which led to the arrest of the accused.”

The magistrate, Mrs B.O. Osunsanmi, ordered that Nwobochi be remanded in Kirikiri Minimum Prison.
