Lagos State Table Tennis Association Set To Host First Trial
The Lagos State Table Tennis Association will on Wednesday begin their first quarterly trial for the year.
The event, which will take place at the Sports Hall of the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Complex, Rowe Park, will have the Chairman of the association, Arch Femi Shokoya in attendance with other members of the board.
The trial, which will involve only the senior cadre players will have 2018 Asoju Oba Champion, David Faleye and Bronze medalist at the 2019 National Sport Festival, Nimota Aregbesola in action.
Others expected are Bose Odunsanya, Hammed Adeyinka and a whole lots of other top-notch table tennis players.
According to the Lagos State Table Tennis Association Chairman, the purpose of the trial goes beyond getting the best player in shape.
“The trial goes beyond finding the best player, it is to keep the players in perfect fitness condition and to teach them the etiquette of the game for international tournaments , it is also to help with our ranking system , it is a multi-purpose trial “.
Lagos State Table Tennis Association won Gold at the Men’s team Event, Silver at the Mixed Doubles Event, Bronze medal at Women’s team event, Silver at the Women’s Doubles and a Bronze at the Men’s Double events among other medals at the 19th National Sports Festival in Abuja.
