The efforts of the Police in Lagos, under Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal’s leadership is being appreciated outside the country.

Mr Edgal was on Thursday, February 8, 2018, in Accra honoured as the ‘Most Outstanding Anti-Crime Police Chief in West Africa’.

Security Watch Africa, the organisers of the African Security Summit, gave him the award after an assessment process was conducted by their selection board.

The board considered him the most qualified for the award when compared with his contemporaries in the West African sub region; especially for his “uncanny ability to strategize, prevent and resolve all manner of crimes”.

While his friends and associates are still celebrating the honour, the CP believes the award is a call to work harder for the benefit of society.

The Commissioner of Police in his acceptance speech, expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the award and vowed to do his best to ensure  Lagos remains safe.

He said that he dreams of a Nigeria where citizens can go about their lawful business without hindrance.
