Few hours after he raised an alarm over threats to his life, some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have staged a protest against the party’s Legal Adviser, Muiz Banire.

Banire is presently at loggerheads with the party’s leadership in Lagos State over the imposition of candidates for Saturday’s local government election in the state.

Carrying placards and banners with different inscriptions, the aggrieved party members stormed the party’s state secretariat in Ogba on Tuesday.

Some of the inscriptions read: “EFCC Must Prosecute Banire Now!!!” ; “Banire is the Greatest Benefactor of Imposition; "Banire Must Be Sanctioned".

Banire, had on Monday, raised an alarm that his life was being threatened over his principled stance against imposition of candidates. 

He alleged that Seyi Oladejo, a former Council Chairman in Mushin and presently  Commissioner for Special Duties in the state, had concluded plans to mobilise a rally against him for his principled stance.
