Lagos APC Tells George, PDP To Forget About 2019 Polls
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, Henry Ajomale, has advised Olabode George and chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to forget about snatching power from the APC in 2019.
He was reacting to statements credited to George, who had bragged that the PDP would deploy experience and wisdom to rescue and position the party to snatch power from APC in 2019.
Ajomale noted that Nigerians love President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC administration, for the tenacity of the war against impunity, corruption, and other reforms introduced by the federal government which he claimed have started yielding dividends.
He said: "In other climes, people like Bode George would dare not open his mouth in view of monumental damage done to Nigeria in all facets of our socio-economic lives by his political party, PDP. PDP was in power for 15 years, but those years were years of waste for Nigeria.
”Under PDP, Nigeria almost became a failed state, 15 years years of PDP in power were years of monumental corruption and waste. Those years were years of locust.
”PDP virtually destroyed Nigeria. People like George think Nigerians have short memory. He should forget it. His party can never taste political power in Nigeria again. Never.”
He further stressed that there was no basis for comparison between PDP and APC.
”It is like comparing light with darkness, PDP is like darkness, while APC is light, and that’s why Nigerians now know the difference between the two parties,” he said.
