There was wild jubilation in the Peoples Democratic Party's camp as a pregnant woman put to bed at the venue of the party's governorship campaign rally in Delta State.

The woman, Otiri Benjamin  delivered a baby girl at the party's rally in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State on Tuesday.

The medical team, which accompanied Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, successfully delivered the woman of the baby.

The woman is from PDP Ward 10 Unit 7 in Ekaka Village a suburb in Kokori Community.

Party faithfuls said the baby is a gift to the PDP governorship campaign in the state.

Governor Okowa, who could not hide his joy on hearing the news, said the birth of the baby was a sign of victory for him and other candidates of the PDP.

The governor, who spoke in pidgin English language said: ”Na sign God show una for here so. Na we deliver the woman. The pikin dey alive and the mama dey alive.

“This one na from God and na better thing. Na victory God bring for us all of us.

”This one na victory for Evance Ivwurie, this one na victory for Ben Igbakpa, this one na victory for Evelyn Oboro. This one na victory for me too.”

Governor Okowa urged the people to vote for him in the forthcoming elections as well as ensure they guard their votes jealously.

The PDP Campaign Chairman, Prof. Sam Oyovbaire in a remark at the event said; ”This is a miracle. We have had what we didn’t have in other campaigns.”
