A former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja has dumped the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).

Ladoja had in August led thousands of his supporters to join the ADC, a party loyal to former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

A close associate of the former governor, Bimbo Adepoju, told reporters on Sunday evening that Ladoja had instructed him to address reporters on his movement to ZLP.

On his grouse with the leaders of the ADC, the former governor had last week said the leadership of the party was not serious about winning elections in the state.

He claimed that the ADC's leadership was not magnanimous about sharing of positions, pointing out that the people of Oke Ogun and Ibarapa zone would feel cheated with the current arrangement in the party.

Ladoja joins his former colleague, former Ondo State governor, Segun Mimiko in ZLP.

ZLP is headed by Dan Nwanyanwu, a former National Chairman of LP.
