The wind of change is still blowing but it seems to be headed in the opposite direction.

Former Governors of Oyo State, Rashidi Ladoja and Christopher Alao Akala are reportedly packing their backs.

The two former governors were represented at the reconciliatory meeting of the state’s PDP leadership called by the National Caretaker Committee Chairman, Senator Ahmed Makarfi.

The meeting took place at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Wuse in Abuja on Wednesday.

The former governors were represented by Senator Femi Lanlehin and Kareem Tajudeen.

Ladoja and Akala are currently chieftains of the Accord Party and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Dayo Adeyeye, urged the Oyo PDP members to sheathe their swords in the interest of peace.

He stated that their disunity, led to the victory of Abiola Ajimobi in the 2015 governorship election in the state.

“We are aware of all the facts, I want to appeal to all of you to be more united more than ever before.”

Aside the two governors, the PDP is also wooing other chieftains of the party that left in the run-off to the 2015 general elections.

Top on the list is former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.
