As the strike declared by the Nigeria Labour Congress starts to find its footing, the aviation sectors seem to be feeling the heat too.

Most sectors are already complying with the strike as a visit by Bounce News around town showed both full and partial compliance by public schools, banks, federal and state establishments.

Passengers trying to catch flights too are not left out as flights are being delayed at the domestic wing of the Abuja International Airport.

The Nigeria Labour Congress had directed all its members and affiliate unions to commence a nationwide strike on Thursday (today).

The organised labour held a meeting with the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, in Abuja on Wednesday, which did not produce the expected outcome.

It is expected that the two parties will be back on the discussion table soonest as the NLC is chiefly haggling for a new minimum wage for Nigerian workers.
