Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo returned from injury to play all 90 minutes as his Las Palmas club suffered a 2-1 defeat to Levante in a La Liga fixture on Sunday.

Compatriot Imoh Ezekiel was also featured from start to finish but their presence could not stop Las Palmas from suffering a second straight defeat following last Saturday’s 3-0 home loss to Real Madrid.

Coke broke the deadlock in the 35th minute to the delight of his home fans at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia.

Five minutes after the restart, David Garcia levelled score for Palmas before Jose Campana’s 90th minute strike sealed maximum points for Levante.

In two minutes of added time, Levante were reduced to ten men as Ruben Rochina was shown a straight red card after Coke had been sent off earlier.

With the defeat, Las Palmas dropped to 19th on 21 points in the league table with seven games left to play.
