Super Eagles attacking midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo did not feature for Las Palmas in the Spanish La Liga 1-1 draw at Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday.

The development may not be unconnected with the injury he sustained in their game against Villarreal last weekend.

The 22-year-old was substituted at half time as Villarreal won 2-0

It is believed that Etebo visited a specialist in Madrid on an injury to his quadriceps on Wednesday.

In Saturday’s La Liga game, Las Palmas took the lead after three minutes of game time through Alen Halilovic before La Coruna drew level in the 22nd minute through Raul Albentosa.

Etebo is one of the players invited by coach Gernot Rohr for Super Eagles’ friendly matches against Poland and Serbia on March 23 and 27 respectively.
