Barcelona battled to a 1-1 draw away to Valencia in the La Liga on Sunday night and varying reactions has trailed the highly-entertaining encounter.

Mestalla is never an easy ground to go and Barca Coach Ernesto Valverde has reacted “in a positive way” to the draw.

“I am happy that, despite the controversy, we didn’t lose our concentration and we were able to respond to going 1-0 down.” He said

Aside the manager, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and the captain Andrés Iniesta also gave their thoughts on the game.

“We controlled the match but their goal forced us to chase the game. We deserved all three points" Alba who netted the equalizer for Barcelona said.

On the controversial Lionel Messi goal that was chopped off by the ref, Alba said: “It was a clear mistake from the officials but it can happen to anyone. VAR would be technology that would help football”.

For Iniesta, a draw seems enough.

“A draw is not a bad result but we deserved more. We were the better side, above all in the first half" the Barcelona captain stated.

On his part, Busquets suggests that taking a point and staying unbeaten is good enough for Barcelona.

“We are happy to take a point from a tough away trip and we remain top and unbeaten in the league" he said.
