KKTMB Rebrands Following Yung6ix Exit
Following the exit of Yungsix from Kash Kamp Trick Billionaire MusiQ (KKTBM), the company has re branded.
The record label has officially changed its name to Trick Billionaire MusiQ (TBM).
This change and re-branding come weeks after parting ways with Yung6ix as the label has moved on to sign another act, Phenom to its existing list of artistes.
Led by Prince Usinefe, Trick Billionaire MusiQ (TBM) have moved past the drama that came with the merging of Trick Billionaire MusiQ and Yung6ix’s Kash Kamp.
Phenom joins the other acts in the label that include Percy, LK Kuddy, She Officiall, B Raiz and Sean Dennis.
In the words of Ibrahim Kabiru, the General Manager of Trick Billionaire Music (TBM), ''over time we believe our label has done well to carve a niche of excellence, quality and professionalism in the industry and it is only right for us to continue our expansion plans to develop and showcase the best talents the country has to offer, help nurture their talents and make them global superstars''
He also confirmed the departure of Yung6ix and the label’s new name - Trick Billionaire Music (TBM).
In 2013, Yung6ix imprint - Kash Kamp, which he established with Percy and producer Otee Beatz, was about to make history for their label by signing a recording and management deal worth about $250,000 with Trick Billionaire MusiQ to form KashKampTrick Billionaire Musiq (KKTBM).
The deal went sour four years later and the rapper took Kash Kamp and jumped ship.
According to a source who spoke to Bounce News, the 'king of the south' walked away from the lucrative deal because Prince Usinefe felt that the weight of managing the record label and making music was taking its toll on the 28 year old.
Usinefe's decision to get a business manager to help with making critical decisions for the label, inspired Yungsix to leave and take Kash Kamp along with him.
We wish Trick Billionaire Music (TBM) all the best as they find their way through the sometimes bumpy music terrain of Nigeria.
