Kidnappers Take Kogi Magistrate, Demand N100m
Security operatives in Kogi State have not found a solution to kidnapping cases.
Again, and again kidnapping occur in the state and this time, the hand of the law has been bent.
A magistrate with the Kogi State Judiciary, Sam Unwuchola, has been kidnapped.
He was taken along Ajaokuta-Lokoja road while returning to Lokoja from his station.
An eyewitness told Channels Television that he was taken at about 7:00 p.m. local time on Friday.
He was with some of his friend, when they were forced to stop by the gunmen, who took a few shots at them.
One of the magistrate’s friend was hit and he is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Lokoja.
After the shots forced the men to stop, the gunmen approached the vehicle, forced Mr Unwuchola out and took him away.
Investigation has started and the police have launched a man hunt.

Reports say the magistrate's family has been contacted by the kidnappers, with a 100 million Naira ransom demand.
