Kidnapped Ex-Exxon Mobil Staff's Fingers Chopped Off
After 32 days in captivity, Idongesit Udom, a former staff of Exxon Mobil has regained his freedom.
Udom, who is the founder of Sure Polytechnic in Ukanafun Local Government Area of the state, was released on Wednesday according to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Chukwu Okechukwu.
He said the kidnappers chopped-off one the man’s finger while in incarceration.
“He was released on Wednesday night and is receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
“The Police command is working tirelessly to ensure that the hoodlums do not go unpunished,” Okechukwu said.
Ndianabasi Udom, the victim’s son, also confirmed the release of his father.
He said his father was released with “severe health condition due to the trauma he experienced during over one month of incarceration.’’
