Kemi Adetiba Tackles 'Toxic Masculinity' In New Series
Are men vulnerable beings?
Kemi Adetiba's latest venture, Brotherhood, discusses toxic masculinity and its effects on men and tries to prove that men have very soft sides.
Much like King Woman, the aim of this show is to debunk societal expectations and stereotypes.
After a Twitter conversation sparked a discussion about toxic masculinity, Kemi Adetiba’s decision to create the program will go a long way to put toxic masculinity in the light.
Toxic Masculinity is one of the ways in which Patriarchy is harmful to men.
It refers to the socially-constructed attitudes that describe the masculine gender role as violent, unemotional, sexually aggressive, and so forth.
Hopefully, the program would properly address the issue. Fingers crossed.
