Talk about government putting their money where their mouth is.

This is what the Kano state government is doing with its support of the northern Nigeria film industry.

The Hausa motion picture industry (a.k.a Kannywood) is set to partner with the Moroccan Film Industry for a mutual co-production, training and exchange of ideas.

The big players in Kannywood would enjoy the benefits of this giant stride, courtesy Kano State Government.

They gave all credits to the Kano State Censorship Board (KSCB) led by Alhaji Isma'il Na'Abba Afakallah.

This is a big challenge on the Igbo and Yoruba practitioners who have hitherto been considered to be ahead of their Hausa counterparts.

Better watch your back, Kannywood is coming!
