Kaduna Police Deny Arresting Audu Maikori
Audu Maikori’s arrest is blowing in the wind.
The Kaduna police has denied any involvement in the arrest of the Chocolate city boss.
There are reports that other government agencies, like the State Security Service(SSS) might have arrested him and placed him in a police cell.
Audu’s lawyer Mark Jacobs had said the Kaduna State government is preparing to arraign him today (Monday).
Audu Maikori spent most of his detention in a police medical.
Audu was arrested for the second time on Friday over alleged incitement to violence, was diagnosed with a respiratory infection.
He was rushed to St. Nicholas Hospital after he fainted during the 2017 Annual Conference of Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ) last Tuesday.
He was later discharged two days later.
Audu was initially arrested over a story he published on Facebook in late January on the killing of five students of College of Education, Gidan-Waya, Kaduna.
It turned out that his driver who told him the story had lied, and he later published a retraction and issued an apology.
