The Super Eagles are billed to play in Port Harcourt in a few day.

But there are concerns about the security situation in the Garden City ahead of the fanfare planned to celebrate the Eagles on their way to Russia.

It was gathered on Thursday that thugs invaded the pitch and disrupted the Aiteo Cup state semi final game between Rivers United and SKEC Academy.

"The Game was 0-0 and heading to stoppage time before they (thugs) ran into the pitch, slapped and collected the referee's whistle." a source in Port Harcourt told Bounce News.

Though the details are still sketchy, accusing fingers are already going the way of Rivers United officials.

The Super Eagles will be playing in Port Harcourt on Monday.
