Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki has submitted his Nomination and Expression of Interest forms to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Nigeria’s No 3 Citizen now joins 11 other PDP aspirants who will contest the party's presidential primaries billed for October 5 and 6, 2018.

Saraki submitted his forms to the PDP National Organizing Secretary, Col. Austin Akobundu. (retired) on Monday evening at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja.

Akobundu, after receiving the document, promised that the party would ensure a level-playing ground for all aspirants.

After submitting his form, Saraki took time to speak with journalists, where he told them of how important it is for the party to have a credible process for a candidate to emerge.

He also seemed to be sure that the aspirants would stick together and support the party, no matter what happens at the primaries.
