The Senate President, Bukola Saraki is currently meeting with former President, Goodluck Jonathan.

The meeting between Saraki and the immediate past President is holding in Abuja.

Disclosing this via his Twitter handle, Saraki’s Special Assistant on New Media, Olu Onemola wrote: “Happening Now: The President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, is meeting with former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in Abuja.”

Saraki's meeting with Jonathan is bound to add more fuel to the expectations that the former Kwara State governor will declare to run for  the presidency in 2019.

Even though he dismissed such reports when he met earlier with former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, and former military Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida, the Senate President admitted two weeks ago that he was considering joining the race for president.

Saraki dumped the All Progressives' Congress (APC) last month to return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), noting that the current government has failed in its promise to Nigerians.
