Poor club performance for Chelsea has cost Alvaro Morata a place in Spain's World Cup squad which has just been released.

Aside Morata, the Chelsea duo of Cesc Fabregas and Marcus Alonso were also dropped while Cesar Azpilicueta has got the nod and is the Blues’ sole representative in manager Julen Lopetegui’s 23-man squad for the tournament.

Former Chelsea star Diego Costa, who was effectively replaced by Morata at Stamford Bridge, is in the squad.
