Residents of Abule-Egba area of Lagos State on Wednesday woke up to sounds of weeping and wailing.

Their sleep was cut short as they run for their dear lives following a fire that was raging their houses and other properties.

While human casualties is yet to be confirmed at the time of this report, over 100 houses and cars were burnt to ashes by the inferno that started at around 2am.

Some residents say the explosion was caused by oil bunkers who vanderlised pipelines to steal fuel.

They recall, in sadness, how about 100 people lost their lives in similar pipeline explosion on December 26, 2006.
