It is now becoming obvious that the menace of gunmen attacks across Nigeria will lead to more deaths than imagined, if not handled seriously.

Nigeria authorities now have themselves to blame to the slow response to Boko Haram, when the group began their attacks in the initial stage.

Book Haram has now killed over 100,000 people, and displaced over one million from their homes.

Contemporarily, faceless gunmen have carried out condemnable killings in many parts of the country, with the latest being Abuja, killing seven police personnel.

The incident happened when gunmen opened fire on policemen who were on stop-and-search duty operation at Galadimawa roundabout, a suburb in Abuja on Monday night.

According to Daily Trust, the armed men were stopped for search by the police when they opened fire on the policemen which led to the death of seven while one was seriously injured.

A gun battle ensued, and several civilians were injured trying to scamper for safety.

Daily Trust reported that the people of Galadimawa have been complaining of lack of security which is leading to constant arm robbery in the area.

The Police in Abuja have confirmed the incident and are working to bring the suspect to book.
