The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Pastor Enoch Adeboye has revealed that the forthcoming 2019 general elections may not hold.

He made the statement on Friday at the monthly Holy Ghost Service held at the Redemption Camp in Ogun State.

Adeboye said 2019 general elections is under threat because of the incessant bloodletting currently experienced across the country particularly in the north.

He said, “A nation may survive a civil war, but no nation can survive a religious war.

"That Nigeria may live, these killings must stop, and it must stop immediately."

Daddy GO said this while reacting to the killing of 19 people including two priests at a Catholic Church in Benue state by suspected herdsmen.

The Christian Association of Nigeria, had earlier called for a nationwide protest against killings and bloodshed in the country.

The CAN President, Rev. Olasupo Ayokunle, urged Christians to hold peaceful protests within their church premises on Sunday April 29, 2018.

He made the call against the backdrop of the Tuesday killing of two priests and 17 worshippers at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Mbalom, Gwer East Local Government Area of Benue State.
