Just In: Court Okays Omoni Oboli To Premier Okafor's Law
Nollywood actress/filmmaker, Omoni Oboli is probably singing songs of praise right now.
This is because a Federal High Court has lifted the injunction previously halting the premiere of her much touted movie, Okafor's Law, from happening on March 31st.
Trouble started for Omoni after the movie screening at IMAX cinema, Lekki was halted one hour before the event following a court injunction, on the behest of Canada based script writer, Jude Idada who sued Omoni on claims that the script was his intellectual property.
The judge, Justice Ibrahim Buba had also ordered the seizure of all copies, materials, projections or infringing materials, relating to the subject matter.
However, this latest ruling allows Okafor's Law to premiere across cinemas nationwide on March 21st as earlier scheduled.
