JUST IN: Akwa Ibom Assembly Under Seige Again
Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has been reportedly locked down by men of Nigeria Police force for the second time in two weeks.
Five recently sacked lawmakers led by Nse Ntuen reportedly stormed the House of Assembly with heavily armed policemen and thugs.
They were seen with a mace which could be for the impeachment of the Speaker, Onofiok Luke ,suspension of the 21 members of the Assembly and probably commence proceedings to impeach the Governor of the State.
It was gathered that the lawmakers chased everyone out, manhandled the Press Secretary to the Speaker, Kufre Okon and headed straight to the chambers.
There are 26 members of the assembly.
The PDP on its Twitter handle accused former governor Godswill Akpabio for masterminding the crisis, which caused the transfer of former police commissioner, Bassey Abang.

A new commissioner, Musa Kimo reported for work last week.
The PDP claimed that Ntuen, aided by thugs and the police, stormed the house today to sit.
But the Ntuen group is also accusing the Speaker of carrying out illegalities, by suspending him and four other members.
On Monday, the new police commissioner Kimo, condemned the crisis rocking the House of Assembly, during a meeting with 20 political parties in the state.
Kimo described the crisis as ‘ugly and worrisome’.
