A security guard attached to the Ataoja of Osogbo in Osun State, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun has shot and killed a 15-year-old boy.

Abubakar Suleiman allegedly killed the teenager, Imole Idowu at the Ataoja palace.

The Juju Test

Bounce News gathered that tragedy struck when Suleima challenged the boy, who was the son of a former maid (Arugba Osun) to a duel.

The teenager allegedly claimed that he had a bullet charm that would prevent bullets from penetrating through his skin.

The guard subsequently shot the boy twice on the chest at a very close range to test the potency.

Imole, a familiar face in the palace who did not go to school on the fateful day due to mid term break, was described as an easy going and intelligent boy by some people who spoke to our correspondent under the condition of anonymity.

The scene of the incident was, however, charged as passers-by and those in the area attempted to lynch the palace guard.

However, the prompt intervention of policemen saved the situation. The infuriated crowd called on the police to allow the law to take its course.

The state Commissioner of Police,  Fimihan Adeoye, confirmed the incident. The police boss promised to get to the root of the matter as the perpetrator had been arrested.

Adeoye gave an assurance that justice would be served. Meanwhile, a senior police officer said Suleiman was being quizzed.
