Jidenna: 'I Spent 30 Days Writing Lyrics For My Album'
Jidenna wants to contribute to the Nigerian music industry and he is determined to support original content.
The Nigerian-American singer Jidenna at the Vibe.NG forum titled “Community Meeting With The Chief: Album Versus Singles In Digital Era” revealed that he spent 30 days to write his debut album.
He also says that his music, lyrics, sounds and collaborations are all geared towards building a bridge between people, races and nations.
Jidenna, recently released his debut album titled “The Chief” which he explained was named after his late father’s social status which he intends to attain through his music.
The "Chief Don't Run" crooner plans to sell his music in Nigeria by collaborating with fellow artists from different genres of music.
“I can decide to do a record with BurnaBoy, Wizkid or Davido,” he said.
Born Jidenna Theodore Mobisson, Jidenna is a recording artist and record producer. In 2015, Jidenna released two singles, "Classic Man" and "Yoga", promoting Janelle Monáe's label Wondaland Records' compilation EP The Eephus with Epic Records.
His debut album, The Chief was released on February 17, 2017.
