Iwobi Picks World Cup Lessons From Ozil
It is always beneficial to learn from those who have much more experience in certain endeavors than to rely on personal understanding.
This quest for knowledge has spurred Nigeria international, Alex Iwobi to learn from his Arsenal teammate, Mesut Ozil ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Ozil won the World Cup with Germany in 2014 and Iwobi admits that he sees the German International as a role model.
Speaking to Bounce Sports in Uyo, Iwobi who helped Nigeria earn it's spot in Russia says he can already taste the Mundial.
"We have World Cup winners at Arsenal so I am always curious to know how it is like ... I am always talking with Mesut Ozil and he is always telling me how it is like.
"He tells me the experience he had playing at the World Cup and I have been learning from him, he has helped me to where I am now.
"I know if I do get a chance to play at the World Cup, they would just tell me to go and enjoy myself because that is the main thing they have been telling me since I made my debut for the national team," Iwobi revealed.
Iwobi is among the greenhorns Nigeria will be counting on to do well in Russia as only the quartet of John Obi Mikel, Ogenyi Onazi, Ahmed Musa and Elderson Echiejile were at the 2014 edition in Brazil.
