Luca Traini, 28, hit the streets on Saturday with only one intention, to kill as many black people as possible.

There is no better way to put it.

A Macerata resident, Marcello Mancini, told Reuters television: “He drove around in his car and when he saw any black people he shot them.”

One of the six people he shot was seriously hurt and needed surgery, the police confirmed without further details.

The shooter had an Italian flag draped over his shoulders when he was seized in the street by armed police.

Onlookers said he made a fascist salute before being handcuffed.

The shootings happened just days after a Nigerian migrant was arrested over the death of an 18-year-old Italian woman, whose dismembered body was discovered stuffed into two suitcases near Macerata.

Could this be retaliation?
