Issuing Dud Cheques Will Put You In Trouble
Damian Ajado will need a very good lawyer to prove before the court that he had no intention to defraud.
He was on Friday arraigned in a Wuse Zone 2 Magistrates’ Court, Abuja, on a two-count charge bordering on criminal breach of trust and cheating.
The prosecutor, Tessy Enejena, told the court that the defendant attempted to defraud one Adah Dominic, a businesswoman.
She said Mr Ajado committed the offences when he purchased cement worth N390,000 from the complainant and issued her dud cheques, on two separate occasions.
The offences contravened Sections 322 and 312 of the Penal Code but the defendant pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Raphael Egbe granted him bail in the sum of N200,000, with one surety in like sum.
If the first cheque was a mistake, could the second also be? The 42-year-old man will appear in court on March 28 for further hearing.FOR MORE FRESH STORIES, DOWNLOAD BOUNCE NEWS APP HERE
