Early this week, Manchester United announced that they had agreed on a deal with Shakhtar to get Brazilian midfielder Fred.

United is yet to formally completed the transfer or officially unveiled the player, reports suggest Fred will cost in the region of £52m.

Meanwhile, the Brazilian has suffered an injury setback ahead of the World Cup in Russia.

The 25-year-old was forced to withdraw from a training session with the Brazilian national team on Thursday after suffering a knock at Tottenham's training ground.

He went down holding his ankle following a challenge from Real Madrid midfielder, Casemiro.

Fred watched the remainder of the training session from the touchline with an ice pack wrapped around his right ankle.

His fitness will be a concern for Brazil boss Tite, with his team set to fly to Russia for next week's World Cup.
